Default Blues on my Les Paul - Thrill is gone-ish

I was messing around with my effect unit the other day and decided to record the tone so I could hear it recorded. I really liked it. Very Gary Moore like. Has that nice crunch.

This one is play-on BB King's Thrill Is Gone. Backing track already had bass and drums but all of guitars are mine. Maybe little sloppy, but I really liked that thick juicy crunch. Plus it feels good to pick up Les Paul after many months.

Thrill is gone - variation

Great sound with some very tasty riffs in there! It's hard to beat a LP for the blues! I enjoyed listening right up to that crappy ending!!! Okay, so you were just noodling...you're forgiven!!

Bob Thanks!

Yeah ending is crap. lol I cut the track short actually because I just wanted to hear the sound. I wasn't even going to post it anywhere, but I though what a heck.

That was cool. I enjoyed that. Nice playing too.

I didn't think it was all that sloppy. I noticed a couple of parts that weren't very smooth, but all in all, I thought it was a fine job.

Very nice!

Don't worry about the "petering out". I did that in the first version I posted here. Overall, you did great.

In fact I'll post a second version I did in another thread here to sort of provide a counterpoint to your Gary Mooreish LP tone, played clean on a Tele

Pretty cool playing - why you call it sloppy, I don't understand! There's some really cool things in it, and the sounds are really nice - both the clean and the "crunch". I do love crunch on an electric though, and this sounds really nice.

The ending was fine, just could have done with one more repetition - listening to it, you hear could come up with lots more nice stuff and go on much longer, it was fun to listen to.

You're right, I could have gone lot longer but I was afraid of repetition because I was totally improvising it. I might put some more thought into this, make it proper, and record video as well.

Thanks

Just had a wee gander at your youtube, 220volt. Quite enjoyed the variation from TE all the way along to that rockin' Megadeath rendition. Good stuff.
