Default Seom new(old) songs by the Silly Moustache

Hi, It is over a year since the end of my throat cancer treatment which has deprived my of saliva glands and taste buds and altered the shape of my throat and mouth, but I'm working to regain a singing voice (funny it doesn't sound like me ... to me) but a voice, any voice, is better than none! My voice has become a tone and a half lower, so I'm working hard to get my upper ranges back. (don't dare yodelling yet!).

So, here are some of my latest efforts, I hope you will take a listen and comment, either here or on YouTube ... or both.

Thanks.

The Danvile Girl (Woodie Guthrie/Cisco Houston)

I Can't Help it .... - (Hank Williams)

Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain (Willie the wondrous)

It's the Little Things (Robert Earl Keen)

If you have been - thanks for watching.

Ol' Andy

Well Andy, I have all my saliva glands intact, all my taste buds, and no one has been fiddling about with the shape of my throat. Yet your singing voice here is more expressive, more tonally interesting, and more nuanced than mine will ever be.

I can't imagine how anyone would suppose you were having any undue difficulty in singing. The air is all the better for the acoustic disturbances you're making in it.

Great stuff! Here's to a continued recovery!

I'm always amazed how people lose their accents when singing. You sound great.

Hi Silly!

It's great to hear you singing again! You sound great! Right on the notes, some nice, moderate vibrato! You have excellent voice control! I know that this recovery has not been easy for you!

I can tell that you have lost some resonance in your voice from before, but considering what you have been through, there are bound to be some changes. The great thing is, you are singing again and able to make music!

I am very glad for you! Good for you Andy!

- Glenn
