Great stuff! Thanks for posting this. I just love to hear JT play...and I wish he’d played more in these videos.

I'm really enjoying these vids as they're posted and looking forward to more as JT puts them out...

Personally, I think James Taylor is a National Treasure...

I loved that J-50. I first heard James while I was hitch-hiking in the summer of 1970 - Fire & Rain - and I was impressed. At that time I owned a 1958 J-50 and I really liked the fact that we had similar guitars. Mine had a pick guard and, at that time, had an adj. bridge which I had converted a year or so later to a fixed bridge.

In the mid-1970s a J-50 was my main squeeze, too. It's nice to hear that it was James Taylor's guitar of choice in his early years.

I enjoy listening to him speak, his tuning tutorial has been with me since I saw it years ago.

There wasn't a guitar in that cache that didn't sound good. I'm sure age has played into that to some degree but they all had a similar but at the same time different voice. Of course the acoustics in that room are pretty bright...nothing to absorb the sound. The intro to "Walking Man" stops me dread in my tracks every time I hear it.

I love the Whitebook!

Only 99 Whitebooks ever built and that one is in amazing condition considering it was a "road guitar" for about 15 years and it is currently 47 years old. JT used the Whitebook from "Walking Man" thru "That's Why I'm Here".....and the tattoo story and peghead inlay are priceless. "If it's a family thing you get one too" Haha!

A little frustrating. I feel he doesn’t talk enough about each guitar. I would also like to hear him play each one a little more.

The Whitebook is such an amazing guitar. I don’t understand his explanation for not using it anymore. Is there something he doesn’t like about the way it sounds or feels?

I think he really likes the Olson's...but who wouldn't? The Whitebrook is a stellar sounding for sure! Shame there are so few around?

I doubt that I'll ever own an Olson (only won $2 on MM last night, dangit!), but I'd really like to play one someday.

Watching JT playing one up close in a good video is the next best thing. Thanks for posting these.
