Peone
Bruce has bent the Oregon Myrtle sides and has begun to adhere them to the Red Spruce to by hot-hide-gluing individual spruce tentalones (or peone) to both instead of Spanish Cedar or Mahogany linings. You can see why Bruce refers to his mold-less approach as “working in the air”.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not seeing the pics on your last 2 posts?

One of the advantages of hosting my own pictures is that until my whole scene collapses, the vagaries of the internet mostly keep their distance.
Here is the actual state of Bob's guitar at this moment. Sides are bent and Peone are in, ribbons are in, side port reinforcement is gluing in the upper right, and at the top you can see the little piece of side going in that makes my side miter look so clean (because it is clean). Carry on, Bob. |

The Spanish Cedar kerfed back linings have been adhered to the Oregon Myrtle rims.
An elliptical shaped player’s side port has been carved into the upper bout. The internal Cuban Mahogany reinforcement can be seen.

That Red Spruce top is perfection! What a great looking build! What is the tonal aim with Myrtle? Congrats!

Bruce builds guitars that work traditionally; meaning the tops and backs acoustically couple and work together. I am simply looking forward to being pleasantly surprised...
