I've completed the binding and glued the fretboard to the neck. Tomorrow I'll finish making the bridge, glue that on, then Friday I'll do fretwork and shape the neck, and Saturday is time for varnish (French polish)

Bridge is on, fretboard planed. Tomorrow frets, a neck carve, and I'll string it in the white to see if any adjustments need to be made prior to finishing

I had a trip planned to Spain for later this year with Bruce Sexauer and our wives (as we had a fantastic trip to Cremona the year before) but it is now indefinitely postponed -

Your work looks fantastic - maybe we’ll have a chance to see it in person when we get to our new “normal” -

I've hammered in the frets and shaped the neck. It takes me at least a week of looking at/modifying the heel and headstock transition before I'm ready to varnish

It's looking mighty tasty Brian. Are you planning to sell this once completed?

Neat! I like that you are sticking with the traditional Spanish foot.
Granada is one of my favorite places on earth.

Wow. I was just saying to my wife that if I weren't already 34, I'd be pursuing a career in luthiery. Pretty awesome that you're going out and getting what you want! I just gave you a follow on Instagram; look forward to seeing your journey unfold!

Nice woods, clean builds.

Another fan of your rosettes and the headstock design is great too.

If it ends up sounding as good as it looks you are on your way.

Well the guitar was in strung up in the white for about a month and the response from other makers and players alike has been overwhelmingly positive. I've been given the green light now so it's off to Granada to be French polished by the master varnisher Antonio Ariza. Can't wait to see what she'll look like after varnish!

Nice clean work.

As an aside, how do you like your Sjobergs bench? Is it stable enough to hand plane tops, back and side on?
