Supposed to be 97 degrees here both Saturday and Sunday, I'd take your weather any day, its too early for this heat.

Looks pretty good to me as we are approaching our summer time temps here in Florida.

This is all important. Check out the comparison slider.

My area improved a bit - just abnormally dry now. We didn't get the rain needed over the past few days.

While it will be a bit too cold this weekend (I'm glad I didn't get around to planting last weekend, and some forecasters are calling out the possibility of heavy, wet limb-breaking snow), I won't complain about the moisture, and anything that pushes back the upper-80s temps we've had the past few days.

I went hiking up in the Northern Colorado foothills last weekend, and it felt way too much like summer for the middle of May.

That kind of fluctuation is so odd to us in coastal northern California. Welcome to NOR*CAL:

No, but for about half of it (which is still far bigger than many eastern states).

My phone's weather app says it got to 84ºF today in Fort Collins, CO.

I put in my window AC today... It is working well, but will be testing the weather strip work when the temps drop as we go through the week...

The drought map is interesting. I was surprised Colorado wasn't in worse drought conditions... It's bad though... Lots of orange and some red, severe and extreme.

90º temps for a couple months, and poor air quality - really really poor air quality when the fires really take off...

It will be hard on the trees, but this happens every few years here in the Denver area.

What is odd is hitting the 90s in April. Doesn’t bode well for our future.

What happened to Spring in Colorado? We are having something totally new. "Winmer"?

As a Colorado transplant I've been here nearly 48 years. I remember as a kid actually having Spring where the saying "April showers bring May flowers" actually rang true. You could also almost predict a daily gullywasher thunderstorm every afternoon in the Summer around 2-3:00 in the afternoon.

Not anymore.

It’s supposed to hit 90 here in north central Ohio on Saturday, but I’ll take that any day over 36 and snow flurries…any day.
Our spring this year has been absolutely fabulous. We’ve had a warmer than normal May with plenty of rain and no storms…yet.

I remember that, too. You could almost set your watch by them, and could also count on cool evenings and carrying a light jacket. Denver at 80+ at 10 pm is weird.

This year it seems like our Spring showers were replaced by wind!

I normally mow my lawn on Friday, but with the forecast of mixed snow and rain for tomorrow I think I'll get it done today. Tomorrow will likely be a good day for guitar playing though...
