Though they have a few wood components they are still being made since 45 years and should not be forgotten :

Merlin;

AC has put together a list--I'd bet that Ovation is on it. You'd have to spend quite a bit of time laying out the specifications for the many Ovation models. I liked the Ovation nylon string guitars but they would never sit without squirming off my lap..

I think it would be of merit to also add the weight of the instruments. It would be interesting to see if this varys from user to user given how many manufactures claim a perfectly consistent manufacturing process.

The RainSong Shorty I had (pretty much the same as their CH-OM) felt very similar to the 522 (but with a thicker neck on the Shorty).

You can compare dimensions, but without the guitars in-hand, you don't have the whole story.
My X30 is perhaps the largest made, yet feels as small as my Grand Auditorium. Sounds like an orchestra.

My X20 is honestly the best feeling guitar and just sits naturally in a most comfortable playing position that I have. But it’s the only C.F. guitar I’ve played but I can’t imagine one feeling any better, now if the neck were narrower around the 7th fret on toward the body it would almost be the guitar I would pick up for 80% of my playing.

They only have three different sizes for dimension specs.

Merlin;

I stand corrected, thank you. I knew that Ovation had three distinct sizes, but thought there were variations within those sizes. My error.

I got this bit of information in an email from Dave at Rainsong about a month ago:

"we recently brought the N1 back and it is available as an option on any 14 fret model.
That means if you want a 14 fret parlor you could order one with an N1 neck."

The N1 is available again

Thanks for the info. Sorry for the delay.

I've updated the RainSong page.

Hi.

Dimensions are from factory specs or direct measurement of guitars.

I'll have a look at company websites.

Cheers.

I'm not criticizing the OP for not including weight, but I have to agree with Simon that weight is a very noticeable advantage to carbon fiber guitars. Rainsongs, in particular, seem incredibly light and that makes a huge difference when playing with a shoulder strap...
