Default Back at it.

So it’s been a while since I have been in fancy guitar land other than just playing what I have. Thinking of selling a few and consolidating resources on something better. I saw a reference to the “Dream Guitars” web site, so I had a look................................ I think i peed myself a little. Note to self, play more power ball.

No joke, I am consolidating my toys to justify buying a fancy guitar right now. It's a sickness.

Of course it's all relative but I prefer having a few 'nice' guitars rather than one 'super' one. YMMV.

True, my main issue is I live on a 600 square foot house boat with another person and a dog. I have 9 guitars. Some are at another house I’m trying to get down to 3 total. A “fancy” (for me) OM of some sort.. a beater 000 (my Eastman) a classical and my Tele... wait, that’s 4. Oh.. and my girlfriends guitar, so 5. That to many for the space but as few as I can go.

How would you review your Eastman E2OM-CD? I'm considering one... some fingerstyle, but some heavier handed singer songwriter stuff. but haven't played one. Thanks

I looked through the guitars for sale, for fun. It seems like a lot of expensive holy grail guitars go up for sale to finance the next holy grail, etc, etc.

Hi, it’s an Eastman E10om-TC. And I basically just received it so I’m holding off on any real comments until the honeymoon is over, or at least a few string changes/ different types and gauges. But so far I’m enjoying it.

Edit:Sorry, I miss read your reply... someone else has the E20om..

Wow that looks great. Same 24.9" scale too. https://www.eastmanguitars.com/e10om_tc

I would actually be interested in your comments when the time is right.

Thanks

While I've been in buying mode after 20 years off of guitar, I am trying to be efficient with the number. I'd rather have a few really nice ones than a whole bunch of less nice ones. But I totally get the other side as well. So many cool guitars! I'm limiting myself to 6, electric and acoustic together. 3 of them are set, the others are in flux as I figure out what I really want. I could probably reduce it to 4 guitars if I had to, but it wouldn't be as fun!

I tell you man. I love this little thing! I fingerpick it, I strum it. I play it in people's backyards, I play it in their driveways. I put a pretty good strum on it so don't let that worry you. Pretty much a no-brainer in my estimation.

Yep, but I suggest you search the form for some reviews/thoughts. I’m a firm believer that initial reviews are not worth much. Too much honeymoon phase and fresh guitar to get a rational view. People really want to like there guitar, a year later things might be different.

I'll let you know after I hit a few backyards and driveways ... and if anybody's home I'll even ask them what they think.

I have the dread version (E2D-CD) and am amazed by it every time I pick it up. I think you'll be a happy camper...oh yeah...they're good for that too!
