I don't understand the description.

Yes Martin make a 0000 and yes Martin make a J-14 fret ... but you can't have both.

If it has 4 1/8" body depth then it's a 0000 ... not a J-14.

If it has 4 7/8" body depth then it's a J-14 ... not a 0000.

I had the opportunity to play this guitar shortly after it came in. As good as it looks, it sounds even better!

That’s an absolute stunner and my favourite Martin body size. Love the details.

There’s only two things wrong with it:
1. I can’t afford it (nor the round-trip from the UK to collect it)
2. I’m not sure I could cope with the stated 25.340” Nut Width - that’s the problem with small hands!

It’s gorgeous for sure, but I’m a little partial to the one in my stable which is the prettiest Martin I’ve seen, in my opinion!!

It's beautiful but 25.340” Nut Width?

Stunning composition. I thought my GAS was completely faded out but I feel it swelling up. Love the burst and bindings. If it had clear mahogany back and sides I’d be starting to gather my pennies.

I much prefer the back to the front. That herringbone detailing doesn't do anything for me at all (but I also don't like MoP / abalone).

Isn't it good that we all have different tastes though? I can see how it would appeal to someone else's idea of guitar beauty.

Viva la difference! I’m appreciating more bling on the top than in my earlier days. I used to think my austere d-18 was perfect in its simplicity. Now I’m thinking about how cool vines on the fretboard would be.

While the back is beautiful, I think it’s flat sawn which somewhere I picked up was not the best for tone. Always stuck with me even though likely not true.

Flatsawn wood does not affect the tone in the least. It really doesn't affect overall wood stability of the guitar either. It's just cosmetics and visual preferences.

Man, it does say on the ad 25.340" nut width. Must be amazing for fingerstyle, but sheesh!
