Funny, a pair of prx715s just listed locally asking 1800. I was doing some research on them as after tax it’s about the same as a pair of QSCs. |

RCF HD32-A cost a little more than QSC K12s, but I much prefer the audio quality. They have 12" powered speakers in some of their other lines too, both more and less expensive. Take a look.

Just did a solo gig with one PRX815 sitting on the ground behind me. Good sized room at a Marriott convention hall. Plenty volume, nice warm tone for both acoustic and vocal. Maybe 200 people. Have a pair of 715's if I need to do a main/mon type setup. Along with a 718 if I need a sub. Used to have full band. I was the guy who bought all the gear. So I bought the best sounding speakers for the budget. Now just me. And I still find myself buying more PRX stuff. A/B all the options, with an acoustic and a vocal mic. You may be satisfied with the QSC if all salesman will do is play MP3 into them. But try them how they will actually be used. |
