Default Bown OM Lutz/Ziricote ** SOLD **

Hello AGF'ers !

I am selling my Bown OM guitar that I picked up last year from Guitar Gal. If you haven't heard of Ralph Bown, I suggest you look him up! Those in the know lust after these.

It is Lutz spruce over Ziricote and a fantastic all around instrument. It can do just about anything you ask of it. A stunning sounding guitar with superb workmanship. Excellent +++/near mint condition. I would be keeping this guitar, but I over extended myself in a few recent purchases so, sadly, I'm having to let go of a few treasured instruments. When's the next time I'm gonna get a chance at another Bown ?!

Anyway, the specs are

Frets to Body: 14
Scale Length: 25.4"
Nut Width: 1 3/4"
Saddle Spacing: 2 1/4"

From GuitarGal
2008 Bown OM Guitar

Figured Ziricote back & sides
Lutz Spruce top
New Zealand Paua Abalone rosette - brilliantly colored
Tortoiseshell colored Tortis pickguard
Ebony fretboard, bound in ebony
Ebony bridge with Ebony bridge pins
Slotted diamond & square MOP fingerboard inlays
Script headstock logo
Gold Waverly tuning machines
Wooden bindings with 5 ply top purflings, and single back & side purfling lines
SN 227
This is a very fine instrument from one of UK's top luthiers
Ralph Bown's guitars are known for their pure tone, and rich overall flavor
Near Mint condition
Hiscox Lite Flight case included

I once owned this guitar. It is an excellent all round guitar with probably the most warmth in its tonal profile of any guitar tbat i have ever owned.

I also owned that guitar and would never have sold it had I not had the opportunity to buy a month old Brazilian Bown OM. It’s a very fine guitar that is a joy to play and looks great too.
Someone should grab this rare chance to own a world class instrument.

As I wrote previously, I would still own this guitar if I’d not had the opportunity to buy a Brazilian Bown OM. I kept it for a another year before reluctantly letting it go. It’s a superb instrument with a balanced sound that reminds me of a piano. Impeccable finish, easy to play, I remember the first chord I played on it in Ralph’s workshop, E major. WOW! I was hooked. At that point it wasn’t for sale but I said that I would be very interested if it was. Two days later I got the call and was back at Ralph’s within 90 minutes, it’s a 75 mile drive!

Somebody will be very happy to own this great guitar.

---------------Do you need a strap to hold an All Round guitar?
