Default Om 28 pickup ideas 2021

I recently picked up a Martin om28... I am looking for current pickup ideas. In the recycle bin I already own a baggs full anthem, a k and k mini and a schertler hfn....and I do own a ToneDexter. The guitar will be used heavily in a full band, duo and solo..some finger picking but mostly hand and flat picking. My original plan was to put the Anthem in the guitar but since they needed to order special adhesive (do you need special adhesive? ) this gives me a few days to get some opinions. Thanks in advance.

Personally, I won’t put anything between the saddle and the bridge/top to hurt acoustic tone, and all my guitars have K&Ks, so for me it would be K&K>ToneDexter>Amp/PA. I’m a believer in the K.I.S.S. principle. And if it’s good enough for Molly, it’s good enough for me.

just do the K&K. simple. no batteries. I've had it with batteries inside my guitars . Gradually changing all of them to the K&K pure mini and using external preamp. Lots of bad luck with built in preamps!!!

Another fan of the K&K Mini. It's in all my guitars...

I like the LR Baggs Lyric because you do not have to modify the guitar much. Just widen the end pin hole and place the pickup. The pickup sounds amazing too.

You could try a Trance Amulet M or a Dazzo system that can deliver a good-quality amplified tone with decent feedback resistance.

Yeah...im a little nervous about feedback with k and k with a full band at higher volumes... Are you saying both the Trance and Dazzo have less feedback than a k&k. (I have a k and k in one of my guitars and it is the most prone to feedback by far.)

In a full band the only correct answer is a magnetic soundhole pickup if you don't want to deal w/ feedback issues.

I was a Sunrise user but a couple years ago tried a Fishman Blackstack and it's my pickup o choice. Much lighter than a Sunrise and I can install one without slacking the strings. Which means I can enjoy my guitars w/o a pickup and install the Fishman Blackstack for a gig.

I have OM28 Marquis with a Trance Amulet M in it. I play I in a 6 piece band with it and rarely even bother with a sound hole cover. Good tone with very little worries about feedback.

Cover all the bases and get one of James Mayes Ultratonic pickup. The latest ones are the easyist to install. Combined with a Tone Dexter they are amazing, especially against feedback.

I am on the hunt as well and am a TonDexter user also. I have looked at the Ultra-Tonic and its on the list for me. Has anyone used the JJB? I hear great things and the price is amazing. I’ve also heard their customer service is way above bore.
Good luck on your hunt! I look forward to hearing where you land as well as how it works with your TD.

My fav is for full band situations is a Highlander as David Crosby uses. Great signal. Great sound. No feedback.
