Default 2014 Hauver Blind Blake - SOLD

BIG PRICE DROP

You wont find a better deal on a handmade boutique ladder braced parlor! I’m located in the Tampa, FL area for anyone who would like to check them out in person or make a local purchase. Descriptions and photos below, but if you have any additional questions or photos wanted, just let me know. I always love to chat about guitars- let’s PM, email, call or text! No trades considered please, unless you have a Fraulini

2014 Hauver Blind Blake SOLD PENDING PAYMENT

If youre not familiar with Michael Hauver, he builds replicas of historic pre-war guitars, but built with several modern touches like truss rods and bolt-on necks. These guitars sound and feel every bit the real deal, but are meant to be easily maintained and last a lifetime.

Adirondack spruce over mahogany, mahogany neck, ladder braced, concert sized, 1 3/4” neck width, 25” scale length, ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, ivoroid bound top and sound hole, herringbone rosette, ivoroid heel cap - all original - hard shell case

This guitar was previously owned by Toby Walker, and he recorded a couple of youtube clips of it in action. He was kind enough to allow me to post their links with this ad to give an idea of the tone. As always, his playing is superb! Thanks, Toby!

so besides liking everything about the guitar, the truss rod cover is perhaps the best design ever.

Thanks rip! Michael really builds a top notch guitar, and you can see it in all his attention to detail and little touches like the truss rod covers. The pearloid one he did on the Gambler I used to own was too cool and a fantastic touch on that guitar! I appreciate your comment happy Friday!

Default String spacing?

What is the string spacing at the saddle? How would you describe the neck profile and thickness?

Thank you.

Hi Ian!

Id describe this Blind Blake neck as being medium sized and having a round shape. It's slightly larger than a modern neck, but closer to that than those old super beefy vintage profiles. The shape is consistent all the way up the neck.

The bridge spacing is 2 1/4”

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
