Default Taylor GC6e (612e) maple honeyburst - SOLD

2007 Taylor GC6e in vintage honeyburst finish
- Grand Concert body shape
- Sitka spruce top (gloss)
- Flame maple back & sides (gloss)
- Maple neck (gloss, but slides easy), 24-7/8" short scale
- Ebony fretboard & bridge
- slotted headstock with Indian Rosewood overlay (steel string)
- gold tuners with ivoroid buttons
- ivoroid binding
- white abalone rosette
- Expression System pickup/preamp
- original hardshell case (brown)
- more specs on Taylor's website: http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/acoustic/gc6e

This beauty looks, feels, and sounds great! It's very comfortable to play. The short scales makes it great for fingerstyle. The sitka over maple gives it a bright/snappy sound. Sounds great both plugged in or unplugged. The top has a noticeable ding/depression near the bass edge of the lower bout (see picture). (The player's arm covers it, making it a lot less noticeable.) It was there when I purchased the guitar. There are also a couple tiny flaws in the binding--very minor (see pictures). FWIW, all my guitar friends, both young and old, that have played this guitar, WANT it...but can't afford it. I'm looking for a rosewood concert guitar or else I would keep this one. If you like maple acoustics, you will not be disappointed.

Default Here are some more pictures I promised those interested

a small finish crack near the lower bout binding:

a small depression next to the bridge:

...and some pictures of the fretwear (bass side, then treble side):

As you can see, there's plenty of life left in these frets.

Despite these marks, this guitar is a great value!

PM me if you're interested or have any other ?s.
