Interesting. So the wood is not saturated into the laminate, it is attached on top of the laminate. I think it would still be subject to splitting on the outside but I could be wrong.

Someone buy one and do the 120º car test......

I could see how attaching a thin piece of wood to an inert object could make the wood impervious to movement...

Fascinating! My plan this past weekend was to visit my local shop and play the Rainsong Vintage dreadnought. Instead, I went to play a different guitar and ended up buying my dream Martin. That said, given my Chicago climate, I may still go to demo the Rainsong.
