Default Happy with your sound?

Right there's a lot of talk about compromise when using pick ups and amps, pre-amps etc etc. I'm always reading stuff about how people put up with a compromise out of necessity, but is anyone here actually happy with their amplified sound?
I ask this question because i'm one who loves the sound of my guitar and amp etc etc.
I have a Gibbo J45 all hog with the LR Baggs VTC Pickup, i run into two amps an AER compact 60 v3 and a Fishman mini L/B i have a ToneDEQ pre amp that i run in the effects loop of the AER, i also run through a Digitech Trio + and Boss RC3 loopers and a Boss AD 2 as a buffer, with the Trio+ i run the drums and bass through a powered monitor and all the loops through the two amps. And do you know what? I love the options i have and more importantly the sound! So instead of people saying i put up with a compromise do you love your amplified sound ?

Yes I love my amplified sound.

Martin>old QTron>Keeley 1962>Boss Super Distortion>Carbon Comp>BF Super Reverb

My electric (PRS) and acoustic guitars share the same rig, and I love it. There's no compromise here. I try stuff out, and if it works I add it in. I have discovered a sound that is my own, and it works wonderfully for me.

I have to say I "like" my amplified
sound. Yesterday i recorded my guitar
Through my sm81 into my daw
and i "loved" that sound. My plugged in
Live gig sound i just like. Dont get me wrong
It sounds pretty good. Sarno black box
Helix stomp, felix preamp to whatever mixer.
But it "is" a compromise. Especially after
So easily using a mic to a daw
And listening to that..

I'm satisfied with what I have and so I'm not paying much attention to it right now. I've been working on other sounds that I can incorporate into my looper.

I like my amplified sound and feel no need to change it.

I love the sound I get from my PA. It's Martin HD28, LR Baggs Session DI, QSC Touchmix 8 (lot of EQ) and QSC K10.2. The problem is whenn I record my acoustic guitar with the Touchmix 8. The sound is really bad.

That's the reason I'm getting myself a Dazzo Pickup. It will probably get here for me in a couple of weeks. Then, I'll install it and will probably have a less harsh sound out of my live recordings.

A lot more than I used to be, but no - I'll probably never be happy.

As my instruments have become better, it's much harder to "harness" the sound - even when using really good quality external condensers in tandem with the K&K's and spending hours tweaking.

Very happy with my vocal sound.

It's a pursuit that I'll likely never claim a victory in.

VERY happy with my live sound!

Amplified gigs:

Cole Clark Angel 2 > Bose S1. Perfect. If I need more inputs or volume then I throw an EAE StompMix X6 mixer in front of it and even more magic.

Acoustic live streaming:

Martin D-1 Custom > Ear Trumpet Labs Edwina > StompMix X6 > iRig Pro > Macbook Air. Wonderful sound.

My live sound quality is simply wonderful. I use slightly different gear depending on the gig.

For small gigs I use a Martin DX1 with a Schertler AG6/S-mic pickup. My small gig amp is an Elite Acoustics D6-8ii. I have it on a light duty short stand. I use an Audix OM-5 mic. I have a generic version of the Carvin 5.8GHz guitar wireless and use xVive 2.4GHz wireless for the mic.

For larger gigs I use a Schertler Roy. I added speaker mount hardware to the bottom and mount it on a heavy duty short stand.

If I am in a louder situation I use a Godin Doyle Dykes Multiac which goes a lot louder before feeding back and sounds wonderful amplified as well. I also have an Audix OM-7 mic which is exceptionally feedback resistant if I need it.

I also have a pair of Bose S1 speakers which I use as extension speakers or monitors if I need them.

I love my setup! However, for some reason I still enjoy tinkering with toys.

Love all three of mine. Could not be happier. The result of a long pursuit.

Depending on the need I run a Taylor 814ce or Martin SC13E into

a) Mesa Rosette > Deluxe Reverb
b) Rosette> (4) four Fender Pro Juniors
c) Rosette> Bose ToneMatch 1>Bose L1S1

Excellent, Just as i thought, there are people out there who DO like their amplified sound, Don't get me wrong i love the sound of an acoustic played into a nice condenser mike but far to many people are striving to get that sound from amps, pre amps, effects etc etc, personally i don't think it's possible, for me it's about liking both rather than dismissing one as a compromise. Plug in and be happy!!

Yes my guitar only louder is a myth.
So find something pleasing so
You can concentrate on playing.
That's the important part.
