Default Gibson CL-30 Deluxe

For your consideration is a Gibson CL-30 Deluxe.
Built in 1998, the CL series was the pre-cursor to what became the Songwriter. This guitar has African Bubinga back and sides, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, gold Grovermatic tuners, a pearl headstock logo, and abalone inlay and rosette. The width at the nut is 1 23/32, the Scale is 25 1/2. I would rate the condition as 8.8 on a scale of 10. There are a few scuffs and a small scratch on the back of the guitar , none of which are so significant that I can capture them in a photograph. They may be able to be buffed out. The guitar also has a transducer pickup.OHSC included.
Cost is $1025 and paypal fees. Free shipping via UPS 3 day ground.

(and try as I might, I will never learn to post pictures apparently)

Thank you DotNeck!

The upper right "blemish" is actually just reflected light and not a blemish at all. I appreciate the help very much!

Price reduction to $1050. Next to Last bump before taking her off the market.

Wow, can't believe no one's jumped on this yet. At that price, and with free shipping? What a great deal. My wife has the SWD, slightly different in that it has rosewood b/s and a bit more bling, but basically the same guitar and I doubt we'd ever sell it. Don't let the Bubinga put you off, it's a terrific tonewood (somewhere between rosewood and mahogany) that Gibson seems to know how to use really well. Folks, this is a great way to get an excellent Gibson dread at a terrific price.

Disclaimer: don't know the seller and have no financial interest here, just hate to see a good one get passed by. If I didn't have too many guitars already I go for this myself. Good luck with your sale.

Dennis

Great deal! I have a CL-30 D that I've had for 10 yrs now...been all over the world with me - even Iraq! For whatever it's worth, mine leads a little more towards a Martin sound than the usual Gibson one...warm, big, excellent rhythm sound. In fact, I do some session work from time to time and this is the guitar they always request.

Someone snag this...

A couple of questions: what is the pickup? Is it active?
And second, do you have experience in secure packaging?
Thankyou

These are great guitars that had a short production life-span. Get one if you can. I have the CL-35 (same with cutaway). It is one of my best sounding acoustics. Not typical Gibson sounding, more punchy, clear defined highs and deep.
