Default Thoughts on an Eastman E20SS deal?

I have an opportunity to score an Eastman E20SS slope shoulder, in addy and EIR as the model number designates to those who speak Eastman.

I have an AC422CE which I love and plays and sounds great to me. Looking to add a decent dread to my guitarsenal since my only dread is a beater (but precious) Alvarez from about my own vintage haha.

There is a blem available for a stupid low price ($899 OTD shipped all in), and I'm assured it's a factory demo more than a blem, with just some playtime on it and no damage. Pictures seem to indicate the same. I'm playing a little coy to avoid any chance of someone else grabbing this thing today. If I pull the trigger I will gladly share and rave about the seller, who is a forum sponsor.

I'd love to hear from anyone:

1)Is this as good a deal as it seems to me? (I feel like I could prolly break even if I hated the thing and posted on Reverb, honestly.)

2) How have owners enjoyed their Eastman slope shoulders?

The knowledge on this forum continues to amaze me. Thanks for sharing.

I owned both an E10ss as well as an E20ss. Both great guitars. The E20ss shared much more tonally with a Martin D35 than a Gibby.

I sold both for between $700 and $800 if I remember. Excellent condition, but used.

I dont see how you can go wrong with that deal. If you dont like it, you will not have any problems selling it Im sure. you do know that it has the 1 11/16 nut right. If thats a problem for you then I guess pass on it.

Thanks for the reminder, I did pore over the specs pretty well. I'm not inclined to one nut size over another. I do love that Eastman specs bone nuts on guitars this attainable.

It’s a fair price, nothing special.
You can buy a new one for $1200 shipped.

If you can get the guitar for a few hundred less, and the blemish don't affect the structure or sound (and it's not something that will bother you), then why not?

Nice, congrats! Be sure to post an NGD thread, so we can get your thoughts on how it sounds, plays, and looks (photos!).
