1975 K.Yairi YW-700 INFO?
Curious as to what these back of this guitar might be made of? Its a K.Yairi YW-700, 1975. Also the head stock seems to have a bit of cloudiness to it, just wondering if there is any way to remove that. Overall beautiful and nice playing guitar, especially being 44 years old. Here is the reverb link for the guitar - https://reverb.com/item/8179777-k-ya...e-1975-natural
Any info at all on the guitar, its materials, thoughts of adding an invasive pickup, would be much appreciated Last edited by blakewmusic; 05-08-2019 at 08:29 AM. |

Jacaranda a species of dalbergia rosewood from the pac-rim. Very similar to Brazilian. It has a laminated back n sides. Very nice playing/sounding guitars.
Akira is a very reputable seller. The fogging/blushing is somewhat prevalent in early MIJ finishes due to high humidity conditions. Not a whole lot to be done short of refinishing. |

tuners
Thank you!, And yes Akira was wonderful to work with, such a nice guy. I was also curious as to why some of the "Tree of Life" models ive seen have gold tuners and some silver?
