Guitar Center and Fenders

Thinking about going to my local GC and checking this Tele out after work today.

I’ve never purchased from GC but will they do the 15% off coupons in person? I know in print they have a bunch of exclusions and can’t advertise certain brands below certain price points. Also, would a GC limited model that’s already discounted like this even quality? If this surf green looks hideous in person I’d like to know if any other Player models could get that 15% discount which would bring the OTD price closer to the $600 mark.

For $550 pre tax, I feel like this Surf Green Player is a great deal. If it’s not hideous or in bad shape, I may be coming home with it.

Russ, they won’t take coupons or discounts on any item that’s already on sale.

Be forewarned, that pearl paint job is beautiful. You may leave with that guitar, coupon or not!😂

If I were looking to buy I'd wait until the sales crew starts ringing up the sale then ask about the 15% discount. Let them check with the manager. From your post you seem to be more interested in a discount than the guitar.

Surf Green is the bomb! With the item already discounted 18.5%, I doubt you'll get more. Instead, I'd ask for the discount on a Fender case and also have them throw in 2-3 sets of strings and a guitar cable. Actually, the Fender Pro series case is already on 15% discount.

I'd also get an ashtray cover for it at some point

I tried buying a Fender Blues Jr IV last week using the 15% coupon and they wouldn't let me use it, then I tried getting a SC112 12" cabinet for my Super Champ and they again said "no can do"
