Default NAD David Kowalski . NEW DEMO video posted

Yes not a typo this is a 1/2 Watt Tube Amp

Hand wired point to point in Texas in a one man operation, David Kowalski
https://www.dkowalskiamplifiers.com/

It's called the Dark Gene and there are two models called simply (Red) and (Green) indicated only by corresponding power LED in either Red or Green , I got the Red which has two circuits Clean and Gain

New quick Demo video Understanding this was off the cuff and not a rehearsed or particularly well organized production
Also please ignore my mediocre electric playing ability this is about the amp sound not my chops

Congratulations! Looks way cool! Bet it sounds great through the Supro. Hows does it sound? How’s the headroom? Can’t wait for the review video.

OK Sneek peak ,, I only did a quick test run to make sure everything worked and as noted it was direct in guitar to amp
Lots of head room on the clean setting, so It will be great for pedals But man, even with no pedals there is a resonance that is just very cool. Hopefully I can capture it when I record for the video
And the Gain setting has a quite a bit of grit so I will demo that as well

In the photo Gain 1 (on the left) is more or less like a Master volume and the only level control for the clean setting
Gain 2 is the both the Gain level and the push/pull switch between the Clean and Gain circuits

Congratulations Kevin!

I think this is a very cool amp! Good for you! I see Mr. Kowalski has raised his price from $360 to $450. Obviously, there is good demand for this little amp and it's still a great value at $450.

The videos on this are very cool, such as this one:

I'd love to try this it. I wish you were around the corner from me, Kev!

Kev, you’re gonna love that thing. I’ve had one for a couple of months now, and it is just the bomb. The range of tones available from such a simple little thing is amazing; all the knobs are pretty interactive. Sustain, feedback, and many different shades of overdrive and distortion are all there with a little turn of a knob or two. I’ve found it a bit noisy with hollow bodies that have P90s or Filtertrons, but the depth, tone, and sustain of the OD make me not care about that. Lately I’ve been using it with a Johnny A custom with Gibson 57 Classics, and that, for me, is tonal nirvana. Dead quiet, and superb tone. I love it. I’m going to rotate all my electrics through it, but right now humbuckers seem to be the right match for this amp. I’m taking my time and giving each guitar a good long trial, so I haven’t played a Tele or Strat through it yet. Can’t wait to hear how that sounds.
Enjoy!

I assume you are talking about the video Glenn posted by Phillip Mcknight ?

My video ( almost ready to post) will be shorter and less detailed just some basic and short playing clips (and more amateurish )

It only took you 2 months to get it? You're lucky, it took me 5 months.

I haven't had time to test mine yet, but I hope to soon.

Enjoy!
