Default Cats At Baseball Parks

First up, from 8-2-2021. Notice how the crowd starts to cheer "MVP!" The Yankees were down to the Orioles at the time, 7-1.

A second example:

Another feline incident from 2017:

And another incident:

I think part of the appeal is that a game with so many rules that must be followed to a "t" gets crashed by a cat who doesn't care about no stinkin' rules

Because baseball is such a slow spectator sport, fans are glad to have a diversion that moves quicker...

How do so many get on the field? Are these places rat infested?

Cat has to patrol and protect his/her territory from other cats. Gotta protect his/her turf and claim mating rights from feline visitors looking for a good time. The pesky humans are a minor distraction to their cat duties.

Yea. Makes me think of the Kissing Bandit. That made the game move quicker.

Those infielders need to have cat-like reflexes, so maybe it's a subtle hint from the coaching staff?

LOL. Some coaches would go through such lengths to give a subliminal message to their players.

How on earth do domestic cats get onto such places ?

Am I the only one who finds these videos very distressing?

Maybe the Yanks thought the cat would get rid of those pesky birds...
