TBMan,

Heres the best one so far i think.

A Place In Time

I did it in 4 tracks. 2 guitar (both mics), and 2 vocal (both mics).

Let me know what you think.

I can't wait to here your guitar parts when you add them...

You nailed it Bob. I started working on it today at lunch. I'll send you and
email of my track(s) and the combination mp3 soon.

A friend of mine lent me a couple of mics and a stand. I'll keep you posted on the results

Bob, I sent you a regular email with mp3 attachments - not recorded with
mic. You were right about the microphone being better for recording. It is a much more natural sound. I'll work on my tracks again this week.

Bob I put the second version on my music page. I use a mic to record both of my tracks. I finally figured out I was mixing apples and oranges. Both of us had to play with a pick. My fingerstyle tone didn't fit in. Let me know what you think. I can soften either/both tracks and remix if necessary.

Sounds realy great man...

The only thing i can suggest is to move some to the right a bit. It seems like it's all to the left speaker.

I can see the mic is working out for you.

Great stuff. I love the hormonics. You are a great guitar player.

Thanks Bob. I can lower my left track and raise my right a touch. I had to record the two tracks I added one at a time because my friend only had one extra cable. I'll pick one up eventually and then I'll be able to record with two microphones.

Another stupid human trick I found out is to turn off my cable modem when I'm recording with the Tascam. They are both USB devices. This cuts out the little occasional "pops."

It sounds to me my right track gets a little out of sync at the end, so it is just as well it is fainter. I'll re-do it (and shut my modem off while recording) this week.

Bob,
What do you think about this?

Online song competition

I can cut out the faint track, re-record a better track and send my tracks to you to be edited in your better software. We can then submit it!

I am working on a better recording right now. I'm gonna use a metrinome 4/4 time @ 129 tempo (bpm).

I'm gonna try to get one with as little mistakes as possible.

Can you put the wave file of your guitar part on your site for me to download?

It's gonna be about 100+ MB's.

Nice recording. Where is TB's guitar part ?
