Hey Kevin ... thanks ... it's a perfect example of being too young and stupid to know I couldn't do it!

A slope dread, with stunning woods, and look at that end graft...
Oh my! These beautiful Build Threads are like going to the theater.
So nice, David.
(And I think you were definitely looking to impress a sweet lady with that dulcimer )

Default Beautiful

How do you compare the sound of the MS model to your Concert or Remuda models Dave. I think your Remuda is my alll time favourite SS shape. Russ

Hi Russ ... very good question ... and very tough to answer. To my mind, it's almost as if you put different coloured sunglasses on to perceive each model ... the notes are the same on each body size, but the overall tonality is unique. Part of that is the ratio of note fundamental to overtone component shifts slightly (and how long the note fundamental hangs on before launching the partials) and part of it is the overall bass/mids/treble balance of the instrument. My MS model would have the most kick in the bass and lower midrange as you might expect ... and holds the fundamental a tad longer before the sparkle happens. The Remuda's bias is slightly more towards the upper registers and tends to have a bit more fireworks once the overtones launch. The Concert model was meant to cover a lot of the territory that larger guitars excel at, but with still good balance and some nice interest in the partials. Tough to put into words for sure.
