Dear Lord that is absolutely hideous...

Even uglier than the unbearably ugly Taylor knobs.

If the Opus series is discontinued then I'm out. I was saving up for a Chimaera, but I could never afford the Artisan upcharge.

Yeah, the X30 video's I found were 1 - 3 years old and the mid's and hi's weren't as distinct as I like.

Default 24 frets

For the X10, it has 24 frets per the description. That’s something I’ve never seen before in an acoustic.

Weirdly, they still seem to be holding back on production of the X12, X15 and X17-S ??

I just hope Alistair knows what he’s doing....

Jon, I read through that thread and realized...

I guess I really am psychotic. I get told that. Maybe is it psychic? Or: psychedelic? It is one of those things. I was just being my own smart alec-y self about the "knobs and 1 11/16" thing. Honestly, I had forgotten I made that comment. I'll have to watch what I say in the future. What am I saying - no I won't.

I didn't realize how much I need that 1 11/16" nut width!?? Really, with the X7 having a 1 3/4, who coulda seen this coming? Oh well, I'm looking forward to some more info and a review. Alistair may need a couple days off to recuperate from his 20th anniversary celebration.

Default Confused in Seattle

A little confused about the pricing of the X10. Website shows base pricing of $1,950. I was unable to get an X10 to price at $1,950. If I chose the “no pickup” option, it only went down to $2,100.

The website appears to automagically add a level 1: Piezo pickup to the guitar, bringing the price up to $2,250. So is the pricing:
No Pickup: $1,950 ??
Level 1: $2,250 Piezo Only
Level 2: $2,550 Piezo and Humbucker
Level 3: $2,750 Piezo, humbucker and MIDI

Fixed noted that the new Emeralds have eliminated the neck heel--are there any pictures of said heelessness?

Choose gig bag instead of hard case to knock off $150

Go one step farther and select "gig bag only" for another -$150. The hard case is standard, and Level 1 electronics are the default.
(Simultaneous post with JohnDenverGirl while I was verifying this).
