Congratulations on the Fairbanks Super Smeck!

I've had the privilege of playing your guitar and the guitar on which Dale modeled it, the original, one-of-a-kind, 1935 Gibson Super Smeck:

Dale did a fabulous job in capturing the look and tone of the original.

Hey John,

Thanks and yes he did. Here's Dales at the 2016 FJ Summit in San Diego with the original (right and pictured in your post)) and the first replica he made (left). Mine is actually the second one made in 2017.

Curious if you played mine or the one at the 2016 Summit.

Thanks
Fred

Fred,

Ah, I played the first and not yours. I played the guitars at the Summit.

Hmmm... maybe it's time for a profile of Dale to be written up for FJ?

Agreed! I've got a couple of profiles in the works (and I'm behind on my obligations to publishers of 2 books). When I can clear my virtual desk a bit, that's my next task.
