Justin! Wowza man! I have a shade top version of this guitar from the same exact batch I think. It is INCREDIBLE. Yours sounds familiar to me. . For me Willi and Rudie have no equal. Congrats on this!

...I should add- Alpine/Mahogany is a combo made in heaven. I have two smaller-body guitars with this combination, and now hearing how good it sounds on a big dread is mouth-watering

Off to Lewis Santer for some additional relief and taller frets. I really hate 0.037” frets. The relief was around 0.003”, which was too straight for me. Lewis is going to install 0.043” EVO with about 0.006” of relief.

Well, it was going to need to be Plek’ed for relief anyway. I find 0.037” frets make it really hard to cleanly fret barre chords. So rather than turn low frets into even lower frets, I figured I would do what it takes to make the guitar play well. I was going to go with my standard 55090, but that was going to require more removal of fretboard and replacement of the saddle and nut.
