Default 1/8 inch saddle slot??

Anyone know which makes/models of acoustics come with a 1/8 inch saddle slot rather than the more common 3/32?

Gibson acoustic modern saddles are close to that width. I think they might be a notch shy, but very close.

I can't help you with this, but why do you want a thicker saddle?

Pickups like the Barbera Soloist and LR Baggs LB6 require a 1/8 inch saddle slot depth. Over the years, these have proven to be my favorite pickups. Having a 3/32 inch slot routed to accommodate such pickups can be expensive. So while considering a new or used instrument, I was just pondering which makes/models come with 1/8 slot as standard.

Hi rb

If you know a good tech, any saddle slot can be ⅛" or more.

I was reading an article by Ervin Somogyi the other day. Evidently he uses saddles that are 3/16" or thicker, to give more room for intonation.

Give or take a touch of sanding, Gibson, Taylor, Larrivee and Northwood all spring to mind. I am sure that there are lots of others too.
