SOLD: Collings OM2HT Baked Sitka w/ K&K
Mint 2018 Collings Traditional Series OM2H-T with a torrefied Sitka top bought in early 2019. With professionally installed k&k pure mini pickup and strap button, it is gig ready, but basically brand new. Bought new a few months ago and never left the house. This is the best rosewood OM I’ve ever played.
I purchased it after much in-person testing, a/b-ing against many other guitars and many months of searching. It has the responsiveness and playability of an OM, but is big and warm. Huge bass, I was shocked by how close it was to the D2HT I compared it to, but without the low end tubbiness. It's an OM that you can actually get that Neil Young strummed sound out of, but also flatpicks like a dream and fingerpicks beautifully. It has a rich midrange and articulate, smooth rosewood trebles. I installed the pickup and button as a commitment to this guitar being the one and being played out. I'm only selling because I'm stretched thin. If you like rosewood OM's that have that "old" sound, you will be very happy. Comes with the amazing traditional case. These will no longer be offered with new Collings guitars and will cost $1100 a la carte from here on out. With the Collings 10% base price increase and a trad case, this package bought new will now cost you north of $6500 pre-tax. Nice guitar.... that one is definitely a possibility, hopefully someone grabs it before I start trying to figure out how to get it into my stable
