Very nice - particularly like the rosette, and that back strip is fabulous!

Looking forward to more images.

Clean work Joel. Your mentor had some very good things to say about you and your work when I spoke with him recently and I can see why now! One can also see his influence in your aesthetics (which is a good thing) and I am sure it will sound great as well. Keep up the terrific work.

Thanks Col. It's the most intricate rosette that I've attempted so far...and also my first attempt at a segmented back strip. Your enthusiastic interest in both has made me smile this morning. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Thank you Tim. Steve has great respect for you and your work, and speaks of you often when we have conversations about the work of our peers.

Steve's influence can be found in my guitars inside and out, but you have also had a direct influence on my current two builds. The PM that you sent to me a while back about your experience with the hybrid X/fan brace design that I'm using, led to a long dialogue between Steve and me...and we both decided to experiment with your suggested arrangement. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience, and also for the motivation.

Joel

Hey, Tim, it was great to talk with you the other day. I really appreciate hearing from you.
As you can see, here, when I told you that Joel is a very talented guy, that was not hyperbole. He's definitely got the skills and temperament to go a long way as a custom guitar builder. Thanks for commenting.
And yes, Joel and I both hold your work in the highest regard. You're the perfect exemplar of a world-class master.

Joel,

Thank you for sharing, beautiful design on the rosette and back strip. I like it very much.

Stephen/Joel, very kind compliments you have on Tim. Very happy to hear that as I have a future build with Tim. After your comments, now I have very high expectations from Tim....not sure if that's a good thing or not

Hi Pandaroo,
Thanks for the comments. I’m glad that you like what you’re seeing.

As for Tim...you’ve chosen well, and the high expectations shouldn’t bother him at all...his body of work speaks for itself. I’ll watch for your build thread once your number comes up.

Joel

Hi Tom...
To have four guitars claimed at this point in my journey is a dream-come-true. If this keeps up, I might have a chance to be considered a luthier one day...which would be another dream-come-true. Thank you for chiming in...your feedback means a great deal to me.

Hi Todd,

I see where you’ve found my Facebook page, Two Hands Guitar Co.
thanks for visiting and liking it...and also for commenting here. I’m always on the hunt for really beautiful woods to build with. I have three upcoming commissioned builds, and I’ll be using a wonderful set of quilted Maple, a brilliantly flamed set of Honduran Mahogany, and an insanely over-the-top set of Cocobolo. If you appreciate gorgeous wood, then please watch for the threads on these upcoming builds.

Joel

Joel, In my discussions with Steve, he often praises your workmanship, and I can easily see why! I firmly believe you are elevating his game as much as he is yours. When you teach, it makes you examine the "why" you do what you do as much as the "how", and that leads to questions as to how things can be done better. This build is beautiful, and it's so hard to imagine that this is so early in your career, given the level of quality this displays. Looking forward to this and to seeing your future builds!
