There's the OM42 at Dream, not quite the same but wasn't sure if you knew about it.

John, do you know how many of these were made? Can't imagine there are too many but I'll be watching with interest to see if you find one...Robert

I just missed the one at Dream, and I know they have a nice looking OM-42, but I want an OM-45. I don't think he made many, but I'm looking.

Hey John,
I hope all is well !! If I recall correctly the OM42 listed at Dream was was one I had ordered from Roy. It was a great guitar !! Roy has built a few 45's but not tons... you may want to call him and see if he would build you one.

The best OM I ever played was a McAlister OM45 in Carmel, CA. back in 2014. I recall playing it and a guy across the room said that it sounded amazing. My girlfriend said 'I thought you were going to buy it." . I should have. $9500 I believe. I kept a pic.... If I could share it..

Good luck in your search!

This is currently on Reverb, though I'm uncertain of its accuracy.

Thanks; but that's the one I just missed- Dream sold it; they advertise all their guitars on Reverb at a higher price to cover fees.

I thought that was probably the case. Interestingly, Dream doesn't show the guitar on their website. Good luck.

Hey Dan, Dave - Thanks for the input. At my age, I don't even order a pizza, let alone a guitar - lol. But hoping to find one anyway.

I'm looking at several other nice McAlisters out there, but still hoping for a lead on a 45.

Default OM 45

I lucked into the one on Dream, advertised by Reverb, and it is a dream guitar. I mostly played a '67 D-28 that I loved, butafter playing this McAlister, I actually quit playing the Martin and gave it to my brother-in-law
