This is a great article. I bought an AKG P-170 small diaphragm mic because of this article, and it worked out fabulous for me......I'm using it with a Warm Audio WA-14 Large condenser mic, and getting great results.
My computer was giving me a lot of grief because the hard drive was full, I had a spare 1T ssd drive, but it wasn't set up properly. So I bought a Partition Magic program and reset up my computer, so now I have tons of empty space and my programs work great now. I also ended up re-installing a copy of Sound Forge 11 editing program, I had bought years ago. So all in all this has been a very productive week for me, with lot's of new gear, software, computer fixed up. I'm happy.
