Well, that is wonderful! Good for you, Chris!

I don’t enjoy an overly dry, fundamental tone, instead I like complexity and overtones. Now here’s the catch; I’m really only looking to spend around $2500 or less. Something like a larrivee 000-60 is perfect but I just haven’t had any luck finding anything used and new is too much for me. I have been searching but it seems pretty hard to find exactly what I’m looking for. Am I missing anything? Or does what I’m looking for only come at a much higher price? Any suggestions are appreciated!
Well firstly an "OM is a 14 fret, spade headstock thin necked guitar -a modification of the original 000 design.

The last incarnation of this design from Martin is the aforementioned VS version.

I think Martin has pretty much abandoned their 12 fret designs now sadly.

If you are going for a lower budget then the Sigma brand make/made some "000T-28S" but only has a 1 & 3/4" nut width.

If going up market -Collings 0002h like this :

Eastman make great 00 but sadly not a 000 original design.

No idea what they go for used in the states - but Atkin do a 000-37S which is their version of a slot head 000-28. Highly recommend.

Hey, no problem! I’m still trying to locate one myself. Glad you were able to find one. Hopefully I can have the same luck soon!

Martin hasn’t completely abandoned the 12-fret. They just introduced Modern Deluxe versions of the 00-28 and 0-28. They look incredible!

Well the Larrivee SD60 is only a little larger and there are a couple of nice used ones on Reverb.

Ah yes but I unfortunately strongly dislike dreadnoughts or anything similar. It’s a shame as it’s just a cosmetic thing for me, but I just can’t seem to get over it.

Thanks for the update Chris, I#ve found them on their website and, yes, they do look good.
I'd love to see a comparison between them and the Eastman E20-P and the E20-00.

Thank you for the suggestions. My issue is I’m looking for something kind of in-between which seems sparse. Yes I’ve seen your reviews on the Eastman 00s and I’m actually considering an Eastman e40-00 if I can’t find the 000 12 fret I’m looking for. I really wish they made a e40 000.

I have an Iris Guitar Company 000, which they call their RCM model. Adi top, rosewood B/S 12 fret and slotted headstock. Super light build. Very responsive and comfortable to play. ~$3000 new
