Default Removing String Buzz/Squeak

I have a recording I just did that I'm really happy with the sound and playing, but I have one nasty little buzz that I'd like to get rid of. I guess I can overdub - anyone have any eq tricks or anything else they use to get rid of these easily?

You might post it. Sometimes it is not too difficult, sometimes very difficult. Cleanest would be punching in from another part of the recording if such a part exists.

Nice job Rick. I did not hear any squeak at that point (there is a slight missed chord there) or anywhere else in the piece I would bother with.
With the missed chord the notes just are not distinct at that point - thus it could not really be edited out. Try an over dub if it really bothers you.

Hi....First, some very nice playing in there. I do hear what you're saying. i would punch in a bit before and just replay that section. It sounds like those percussive bits weren't played as cleanly as I'm sure you would have liked. Eq isn't going to fix it....

Thanks, guys. Yah, it's pretty minor. But you know how it is - it's so ****ed hard to get a take you're really happy with, but perfection is never quite there.

I have often said that recording is there to show us just how crappy a player we really are. It's more like, recording is the little demon in the ear that is trying to convince us about how crappy a player we really are.

I think I'll stick with it. I like how it came out. Bass and percussion next.
