Newport Guitar Fest video: Tony Dunne on a Todd Rose zoukulele
The video of Tony Dunne playing my zoukulele at the Newport Guitar Festival this past April has been put up on YouTube.
The zoukulele is strung with 4 double (unison) courses, tuned GCEA (the same as a uke tuned with a low G; also the same as the top four strings of a guitar [DGBE] capoed at the 5th fret). The instrument took a little tumble as the stage was being set up, right before Tony got up to play it. Apparently, one of the E string tuners got knocked a bit out of tune, but I think Tony's playing makes it sound good anyway. There are several photos of this zoukulele on my web site, if you'd like to get a better look at it. If you have any questions about the instrument, fire away. Thanks for looking and listening!
