Default Literally Sweet NGD

Took delivery last night of a Bourgeois OMS Victorian with Italian Spruce and an unusual torrefied curly maple back and sides. Beside being gorgeous the guitar smells delicious, like a confectionary bakery. It's quite strong and sweet and the odor is lingering in my bedroom/office even though the guitar is cased. I've got it on approval from Wildwood in Colorado and have until late tomorrow to decide whether to keep or return it. So far I'm liking it especially its smooth yet crisp tone and volume. The sustain is remarkable. The QC is the best I've ever seen. Much better than the two SCGC models I've had. It's a "used" April 2019 build that apparently was flipped right away by a guy that likes to do that kid of thing with high end instruments. I was fortunate to spot it on their site and negotiate for it. Wildwood is extremely professional to deal with.

Wow, I love the back and sides on your OMS! Have fun with your remaining trial period! I'm still puzzled as to what the "Victorian" means for that model, but hey, I'm old. I've only seen 3 of these on the market, and Eddie's Guitars still has one, but in figured mahogany with aged tone Adirondack spruce top.

It sounds like it checks all the boxes for you. It is gorgeous to boot. I bet you keep it. I agree that Wildwood is great to work with. I have purchased 2 guitars from them.

Gorgeous guitar. I love the slotted headstock. That purfling pattern is a little weird in that when I first saw the photo it looked like it was very pixelated until I realized it was just an optical illusion.

Very interesting tone. I guess what they say about maple back and sides is true - very bright and clear. Perfect for a fingerstyle player that doesn't play with nails.

Here's the very short video or Robinson playing it over at SoundPure:
