Default Record an acoustic Godin guitar

Hi,

Here's my problem that I'm looking fot the answer since 5 years...

I have a Godin Guitar model XTSA (see the spec: http://www.godinguitars.com/godinxtsap.htm)

There's a custom pre-amp on it for the acoustic sound. When I play live, I'm plugged directly in the PA. If you close your eyes, it sounds really similar to a real acoustic guitar.

My problem is when I record... I plugged it directly in my M-Audio Firewire 410 soundcard. When I play, the sound is good. But when I listen what I've recorded, the sound is electric, not acoustic. It's like the sound have been amplified ... I wrote to Godin company and they told me to buy a pre-amp... I try with the pre-amp of one of my friend and it does the same problem... Is there someone who knows how to record properly these kind of guitar???

Thanks

Mathieu
