This is really going to be a great build to watch. I think Jasons attention to detail is second to none. Congrats and nice blackwood BTW

Thanks for the very kind words guys; sorry not to upload this sooner, but I am rammed at work. I like a "tease" but know how irritating it can get if it goes on for days.
Anyway, lets get the back glued up, sap in the centre: Then smooth it down with those sharp thingies luthiers use: Right. What about two backstrips?! Glue 'em in... Job done! So now I've got both - a backstrip and sap right across. What a nice little detail. The guy is a genius. Cheers, Steve |

Funny enough, it reminds me of my Philip Woodfield nylon guitar. Philip uses two slim strips and intertwines them for a very short length. Lovely:

Hadn't thought of that Fliss - I guess I've got my initials on the back of the guitar.
Jason's going to have a hard time doing the "M" for Jonny tho'! Cheers, Steve |

That's a lovely piece of wood there Steve, and the detail is a really clever solution too.
When's the ETA now? |

Hello Steve
I discovered yesterday that I had indeed signed upto this forum ages ago but have only had time in my life for two forums so far (Acoustic & Mike's ouds) - I crossed onto here from Acoustic just now and saw the Kostal you are having made. What a beautiful design sense Jason has ... btw those sharp thingies are cabinet scrapers - probably one of the most useful tools you can have. When are you expecting to get this guitar??? Cheers Leon |

Just found this and as a fellow 'acoustic lifey' thought I would add something.
This guitar is going to be marvellous, simply marvellous PCT57
