So I took the J-17 to my jam group last night and had a few of the good guys play it for me. Everyone was impressed with how light it is and how focused the sound is. It's a blast to play and talk about cutting through the mix, it's not just that it's loud, the sound comes out like a laser beam.

Funniest thing was when I handed it to the second guy, he said he never heard of a J-17, and I told him it's the only one ever made. At first, he couldn't understand how I got such a cool guitar. It's really a cool guitar!

Well, it's now one month old;

It's gotten bigger and fuller and more like that traditional Martin sound. Every day, it seems to grow a little bit. I'm still in awe every time I open the case and get hit with that ''new mahogany smell''.

I got Martin ebony bridge pins for it and they added to the fullness but I thought they took a little from the bass. I put bone pines in for the E and A and everything is just right!

Thanks, everyone. It really is an amazing guitar. Right now it's still growing up. Once it matures, it's going to be another guitar that's way better than the guy playing it!
