So I took the J-17 to my jam group last night and had a few of the good guys play it for me. Everyone was impressed with how light it is and how focused the sound is. It's a blast to play and talk about cutting through the mix, it's not just that it's loud, the sound comes out like a laser beam.
Funniest thing was when I handed it to the second guy, he said he never heard of a J-17, and I told him it's the only one ever made. At first, he couldn't understand how I got such a cool guitar. It's really a cool guitar! |

Well, it's now one month old;
It's gotten bigger and fuller and more like that traditional Martin sound. Every day, it seems to grow a little bit. I'm still in awe every time I open the case and get hit with that ''new mahogany smell''. I got Martin ebony bridge pins for it and they added to the fullness but I thought they took a little from the bass. I put bone pines in for the E and A and everything is just right! |

Thanks, everyone. It really is an amazing guitar. Right now it's still growing up. Once it matures, it's going to be another guitar that's way better than the guy playing it!
