Have you spent time on any of Masaaki Kishibe's music? My favorite of his is Hana (Flower). Www.classclef.com has many of his tunes in pdf and GuitarPro files (as well as many other guitarists' music.

I also like Isato Nakagawa a lot

I really like that one too, but my problem is the tuning. Im afraid that tuning the G to F# tends may weaken and break the string after a few retunings. I suffer the same thing with Ed Gerhards, "The Handing Down", with the G string tuned to E and back again.
