Rolling Stones Keef uses it for many Stones riff-oriented tunes. No slide but can give you more options.

Ventilator Blues comes to mind for slide. Probably a bunch of others on Exile.

My favorite Open G slide tune is Walkin Blues, Claptons Unplugged version
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNaexHNq0Lc I also have been doing a Mike Dowling Opn G blues(not slide or vocal), but its opened up some shapes and new approaches to open G. Be easy to add slide and lyrics to it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1X7egd8Us0

Might as well start at the begining... Banty Rooster. This guy talks a lot, which works great for some people. But he seems okay. I play it more like the second vid. But that's the beauty of it. Once you get the thumb and the feel going, there are no rules!
