A Renaissance Suite with Clive Carroll
Hi folks,

That was the most amazing video I have ever seen here on the AGF! What a gorgeous composition, and so beautifully played by a couple of the best acoustic players on the planet!

I wonder how "difficult" you found playing it? As you know, the original features none other than John Williams playing the nylon part. Clive will have told you that JW rocked up to the studio and was shown the score for the first time. When Clive asked him what he wanted to do about running through parts etc., JW apparently said something along the lines of, "no need; run the tape": He recorded it in one take, perfectly. Even Clive was gobsmacked, and that's saying something. And Williams was 75 at the time. Cheers, Steve
