I just got a ton of pics from the Digital Imagery Dept. at Tahoe Guitars. Several posts follow.
Larry installs the frets. A roll of raw fretwire. I prefer the gold EVO fretwire for its durability. FWIW, My OM armed with this fretwire shows no string line wear in the frets after 5 years of regular play. Good stuff! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This tool snips the fret tang off the end of the frets. ![]() *snip* No tang on the end... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The fretting continues, but without worry. <---See that?
![]() ![]() ![]() Here you can see the rather massive fret buck, which gives support and stability while installing the frets on the FB extension. ![]() ![]() ![]() Now the leveling and dressing begins. Larry drills the pin holes and slots the bridge.
![]() Here is a mixture of the three woods comprising the structure of bridge system: Macassar Ebony, Carpathian Spruce, and Black Locust. ![]() The pin holes are chamfered (sloped at the top). Note the right angle at the top of the holes. ![]() ![]() Now the tops are sloping. ![]() Now the bridge is slotted. Using this elegant tool, the distance from the nut to the 12th fret is found. ![]() It is then duplicated between the 12th fret and the bridge. ![]() ![]() Router time. ![]() Voila! ![]()

The guitar has been completed! I have it home, and will begin the process of playing it in. It sounds great out of the gate. I will check back in a week or so with a video.
