more baritone adventures: The Measure of Silence CD
Heart Dance Records has just released my 3rd CD on their label: The Measure of Silence.
In a nutshell, this is music based on melody – the unifying force and gravity of this project. Once again I've used my Max Spohn acoustic baritone guitar to write the songs. This instrument allows me to sort out the wheat from the chaff. It makes one leave space, and that's most often a good thing. I layered other string instruments within each song, which allowed me to create arrangements that evolved. This is an approach I've often used in the past. It's an ensemble approach with the baritone acting as the anchor. The songs are nearly all slow. The winter of 2021 was one of isolation, contemplation, and reflection. The music contains these elements, but is really full of positive energy. Here's a link to my first video. I chose the opening song, Bandula, to use as the music bed for this video. Thanks for your support.

Beautiful stuff! You have an ear for melody that reminds me of Phil Keaggy.
