Lots of great set ups here. Let me add my "weird" home set up (unorthodox, perhaps, but I do get a very satisfying to-me stereo sound out of it...). I'm saving my pennies to get a set up like Doug Young's. Meanwhile ....

Blue Chip>000-28 w/Authentics PB lights>HFN + SD Woody passives>x2 ADI21 DIs>x2 1/4" outs to ABY (backwards to combine outputs)>TCH Play Acoustic Stereo out>ZEDi10FX mixer i/p 1&2>x2 QSC CP8s powered speakers
ADI21s x2 XLR outs>Neunaber Immerse Stereo> Fishman Stereo Delay>ZEDi10FX i/p 3&4>CP8s

Depending on the occasion, I'll throw in a JamMan Stereo looper somewhere in there too. The mixer is also USB-connected to my DAW (Reaper) to record anything worth recording.

My stage amps are UltraSound & PAs vary. My personal PA is a Behringer with 8 XLR inputs, and 1600 Watts output when bridged-to-mono, and a pair of Community 12 inch two way cabinets. It covers 250-300 people very solidly and the communities produce a really nice sound (slightly less edgy even when pushed hard).

I elevate the Community cabinets behind me/us, above head-high level, so they also serve as monitors. I don't need the stage amps if it's my system. If it's somebody else's system, I'll often run a stage amp…elevated about 18" off the floor and aimed up at the back of my head from at least 4 or 5 feet behind me.

Larry - very interested to know how you accomplish the speaker set up behind you without feedback issues.

So far my best results are with the Fishman Rare Earth Blend using two channel output:

Mag channel: straight into mixer
Mic channel: Radial phazer then straight into mixer

Mixer = Zoom livemix
Speakers = JBL EON 10

Since no one has replied this way, I'll serve as the resident smart alec.

Ultimate acoustic signal path: bare fingers, DR Sunbeam strings, Mcilroy A25c.

I spend most of my AGF time trying to get my plugged in guitar to sound as heavenly as it does when unplugged. The ultimate tone, to me, is flesh on string on guitar of choice to ear.

Ahhh.

But yeah, I get the question and the ever ending quest for audio nirvana.

So in between those elements, I would add a Schatten hFN pickup into a Line 6 Helix, split signal with the pickup getting a preamp boost and the other ignal being a IR. Add a touch of reverb and surgical Eq as needed.

Once a pickup is used, you no longer have an acoustic guitar. Rather, it becomes an amplified flat top. They may be similar but definitely, not the same.

Actually, I do. A Martin SWOMGT that a friend gave to me when it started to fall apart from her neglect. I had repairs, modifications, & a K&K installed in it. It's a very respectable instrument and when I need the sonic horsepower, it gets plugged in.

Redeye fx loop
Ammoon EQ7 > Carbon Copy Delay > Neunaber Wet Reverb >

Redeye Preamp > XLR out > Yamaha Powered Speaker

Guitar->Anthem pickup->AER Compact 60 works pretty well for me.

Utlex pick - John Pearse PB Lights - Martin 000-17 - Baggs M1 - Fishman Loudbox Performing Artist or Fishman Loudbox Mini. If it's a noisy room I'll add a tuner pedal between the pickup and amp. Also if there is a house PA I'll use my amp for a stage monitor and line out to the PA so that I have control over my sound from the stage. I also keep a Baggs Para DI with me for the times when it's just not practical to DI out of my amp.

My two solutions, starting with nylons:
Nail&flesh - Hannabach Goldin strings - Villalba flamenco guitar - Barbera transducer - Vovox cable - Audio Summit TD100 pre - Daedalus S82 cabinet modified with a Bose final amp stage (no EQ, but I obtain a similar effect by varying the input impedance, a great feature of the TD100)

For steels:
All the same, except: Thomastik Plectrum 012-059 - Lowden F32C - HFN pickup

Very true.
Some transducers sound close, but to me none sounds like a mic, let alone a good mic.
But clearly, after decades of transducers, most players just don't care.
The convenience of the transducer takes priority over sonic accuracy.

Plus, decades of hearing non-mic transducers has changed the taste of most player and the public; they've gotten used to the sound.

This is why I use the DPA 4099G.
It's tiny high end shotgun condenser, on a tiny gooseneck, clipped onto the guitar.
It sounds exactly like the acoustic guitar.

I use the Xvive u2 with my mandolin and it's wonderful to be wireless. Now that I have a K & K in my acoustic guitar I guess I could get another one for that too.
