Default Removing a sonitone pickup

I was wondering how hard it would be to remove a Fishman sonitone from an Eastman 00. I would want all the electrics out. Would it be better to just find a 00 that didn’t have a pickup?

Yes, find one without if possible.

Otherwise you may have to pay money to have something removed you do not need.

They come out very easily. If you remove the under saddle element you will probably need a new saddle or a shim.

I've removed a bunch of them. The volume and tone wheels are held in by double sided tape and pop right out. You will need a shim for the saddle after removing the under saddle transducer and you'll need an endpin for a jack size opening. You can order the endpins from Stewart Mac if you don't have a local source.
