To see what it will look like once the lacquer is applied, wipe with naphtha.

Agree. But Id call it “lesson learned” and just smile when I think about it. Bonus, you wont havevto ever worry about that first scratch!

Bummer, super glue when wicked into exposed wood darkens the area.

To make it invisible from here, I would use uv gel pore filler or find someone that may have some, it gives the wood surface a wet look to it, similiar in appearance to what superglue does.

Alternatively

As already suggested - Sand to raw and use superglue as a sealer and do the whole back

Default A thought --- opinion

When I encounter one of my creative failures, I find that the most satisfactory fix is to say 'uncle' and back up, remove the problem, and carry on. I suspect OP's problem could be resolved by r&r of the back and proceeding, rather than attempting what might turn out to be unsatisfactory attempts at disguising the problem. I also found that for me, fixes have to be within my demonstrated skill set - - - no pioneering experiments.

But like my reply title says, it's my opinion, what has worked for me.

Thanks for your proposals!
I´ll give them a consideration and a try on a piece of wood scraps...

I have to get a new bottle of naphta on monday because my bottle on the shelf was empty
But I surrounded the spot with a bit of clear nitro.
Does not look bad but a tad brighter.
Tomorrow I am going to sand it away and try a bit of thin epoxy -only to compare.
Naphta might be slightly different?
