Congrats. I own multiple guitars, multiple banjos and multiple ukuleles. I own one mandolin. It's a Breedlove Quartz OF. You will be happy.

It was my belief (although, i might be, of course) sound wise, a well built A and a equivant F style are pretty much the same.

The scroll, and the points of an F style are not hollow, so the

extra weight of the more massive headstock might make an F model

a little different,,so from what i can tell,,,years ago the F model was

prefered because , its the one Bill Monroe played

Now there are so many crappy F style being made,

I would prefer an A model most of the time...

If you just have X amount of money,, who needs

a two thousand dollar strap button?

Anyway,,, opinions abound,, thats just mine.
