Hi. I am selling a rare carbon fiber five string bass guitar. I don't believe emerald makes these anymore and I have never come across one for sale. If you want one of these basses, you'll want to grab this one while you can! It sounds great, plays great, the fret job is fantastic, and, because it's made of carbon fiber, you will never have to worry about temperature or humidity!

Emerald Guitars Flow Bass
With the Emerald Guitars Flow Bass we wanted to use the freedom that working with carbon fibre gives and create a bass that is light weight (weighs 7lbs/3.2kg), exceptionally strong and stable, has great tone and put it in a body that has lines and curves that just 'flow'.

The one-piece construction provides incredible stiffness so we are able to create a nice slim neck that has easy adjustability with a double action truss rod and tuning stability. The neck runs seamlessly into the sculpted body that is designed to hug your body comfortably while playing.

Because our basses are made from a singular exoskeleton, creating all the structural strength of the bass, it provides us with more freedom with the tone-generating core of the bass.
We developed our unique 'acoustic tone compound' that can be tailored to create different fundamental tones, just like using different tone woods. Our specially developed compound contains tiny air pockets which reduces the density. We can carefully tailor the size and quantity of these air pockets to create the tonal properties we are looking for.

The stiffness of the bass and its chosen tone compound lends itself to a strong fundamental pitch without sacrificing low or high end response. The end result is a bass that covers the entire tonal spectrum while still having the punch to cut through the mix.
The five-string Flow Bass features Gotoh Res-O-Lite Tuners 20:1 ratio, EMG X Pickups, for the controls has a EMG BQC system (volume, blend, mid stack, bass/treble stack) with added ABCX (active balance control) and comes with a custom-padded gig bag.
