I had plenty of time to compare it with my |Collings with the same woods. For me, Collings are the ideal brand for me, my style, and my hands, but I have to say, I couldn't fault the build quality, finish, or tone of my Larrivee.

I'm glad that you got the wider neck version and the pics seem to show a top that has been nicely tanned.

I don't really understand why Larrivees, esp. the trad series aren't more highly regarded, but I think most that get 'em, keep em.

I wish you great joy with your 000-50, I think it's gonna work out fine!

Thanks, yes I’m pleased to have found one with the wide neck, it feels great. I’ve only played a handful of Collings and they were all stunners, and I’d have to agree with you the build of the Larrivee is up there as well.
